Dr. Thomas Wright is a board certified physician who has specialized in venous and lymphatic medicine for over 20 years. His research and practice focuses on lipedema and related fat disorders. He has authored over 20 abstracts and peer reviewed publications on lipedema, including the US Standard Care of Guidelines for Lipedema. Dr. Wright has reported on unusual presentations of lipedema, conservative management, and surgical treatment. Dr. Wright received his medical degree at the University of Missouri and completed his residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He is a fellow of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society, a member of the medical advisory board for the Fat Disorder Research Society and a founding member of the Lipedema World Alliance.
